Social isolation is not just a hardship - it’s a leading reason families consider abortion. It’s also one of the strongest predictors of child abuse and neglect.
Why This Matters?
When a socially isolated family has a baby, these realities can be heartbreaking:
No baby shower.
A lack of prenatal care.
An Uber ride to the hospital - alone.
No one holding a single mom’s hand through labor.
And the crushing weight of parenting in total isolation.
And yet, one of the most powerful resources the Church holds is community.

hosting a baby shower
giving hand-me-downs
providing a listening ear
transportation to prenatal appointments
babysitting their other kids
surrounding them with love and support.
